A little off topic I was thinking if you had to spend the rest of your life listening to only one Musician- composer, producer, singer etc who would it be and why ? I decided on Thomas Newman in the end and if your not big on movies you probably wouldnt have heard of him, but lets just say he’s a big deal in the film world. You may think this is irrelevant to the content of this site, however i do not see music in Genre’s and over the past years particularly hip hop has sampled cuts from every single type of music, effectly merging all music together as one.  It was a close call between Thomas Newman and Hans Zimmer both great Composers in their own right, but i chose Thomas over the movies he has worked on, Shawshank Redemption being my favourite movie of all time, Road To Perdition, American Beauty, Brothers, Meet Joe Black just to name some. The main reasoning behind my choice was that if you pick any single artist at this point in your life there is no sign of what you may think on that person in 10 years time, you are better to pick someone who can fit into your life in the future. So your saying that you would Pick Jay-z, well in 20 years time are you going to be saying your sick of hearing his voice, I would rather cut out the vocals and listen to a relaxing Thomas Newman recording after all his music gives me a feeling that no Hip Hop track has ever done, that feeling when your hairs stand up on the back of your neck. Heres a tip, if you are ever out walking alone one night in a quiet place and noone is around have thomas Newman track on your Mp3 and click Play then tell me what you feel. bieber movie that got released. Its a wise move to make publicity wise im just not sure it has been

done at the right time, the best time to do this would have been surely at the height of your career

“The X Factor” is getting an extra shot of star power. Rihanna has reportedly signed on to guest judge on the U.S. edition of Simon Cowell’s singing competition.

Antonio “L.A.” Reid, who signed the pop star to Island Def Jam in 2005, has enlisted her to help him decide which contestants to mentor as the season gets underway, according to TMZ.

She will be in the company of fellow diva Mariah Carey, who will serve as Simon Cowell’s guest, as PEOPLE previously reported.

Rihanna is working on her sixth album and recently did a photo shoot with Ellen von Unwerth, who shot the packaging for Rated R. She was seen sporting a new hair color on the streets of New York over the weekend.

“The X Factor” premieres September 21 with judges Cowell, Reid, Nicole Scherzinger, and Paula Abdul.
